1 Day Fishing Tour in Uganda
Our 1 day fishing tour in Uganda will take you to Lake Victoria for a wonderful experience. There are many water bodies in Uganda such as rivers, swamps, and man-made lakes where fishing is possible. Uganda is among the favorite big game fishing destinations in Africa. Lake Victoria is home to various species of fish such as the Tilapia, Nile Perch, catfish, and others. Due to the conservation measures that have been put in place, such as fishing on very young fish products, today there is a chance to catch a fish which weighs over 40kg.
During Your Adventure
You will be driven to Jinja. Jinja is a renowned colonial city which is famous for being the source of River Nile. We have a great team of drivers who shall drive you to Jinja. Our tour guides have been part of several fishing safaris and they will be able to share their wonderful tips.
1 Day Fishing Safari in Jinja
There are different fishing intervals in Jinja:

This makes it possible to take a half-day or full-day fishing experience.
Most of our tours start in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. However, whatever location you will be in Uganda, we shall organize the best pickup service for you.
The road trip to Jinja from Kampala usually takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. Jinja is 85 km away from Kampala. You will drive past many sugar and tea plantations as well as Mabira Forest, the biggest forest in Uganda. Upon arrival, you will meet the expert anglers who will travel with you deep into Lake Victoria for fishing.
Fishing Experience
You will be offered standard nets and later on the tour will begin. The expert anglers know the current fishing grounds in the lake and you will be taken to such spots. You will have a remarkable experience while listening to the wealth of knowledge from these fishermen. On a lucky day, you will be able to get a good catch.
